Applies prospectively from publication on the BORAKA Managed Job Search website. Existing paid agreements are not amended.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
BORAKA is the trading brand of YANA Careers, LLC, registered in Maryland. We determine how personal information is used for this Managed Job Search website, suitability review, and career service. This notice covers the BORAKA Managed Job Search website on which it appears. Privacy contact: support@boraka.co. Business and mailing address: 2001 L Street N.W., Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036, United States.
This notice does not replace a separate notice for Competency Labs assessments or unrelated services. Employers, job platforms, and providers may separately control information they receive; their notices also apply to their own processing.
2. Information we collect and where it comes from
Website application information: Your first and last name, email, optional phone, required LinkedIn profile URL, country, optional state or region, current role, selected target role, clinical research experience range, work-authorization answer, biggest search obstacle, preferred start timing, readiness for the planning-session and interview-response commitments, investment-readiness answer, optional search notes, optional referral source, privacy consent, and any utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, or utm_content parameters present in the application-page URL. The website form does not accept a resume or file upload and does not use cookies for these attribution parameters. These responses are stored in the site’s hosted database with restricted server-side access for application review. Application records are reviewed by authorized BORAKA staff through a restricted sign-in.
Service intake information: After acceptance and through approved channels, we may collect your resume, employment and education history, goals, availability, work-location preferences, and information you choose to provide for service delivery.
Service information: Drafts, approved career plans and materials, comments, agreed search criteria, application records, relevant employer correspondence, optional job links or referrals, interview invitations, offer details you choose to provide, session bookings, and support messages. We receive it from you, authorized team activity, and employers or platforms involved in your approved applications. BORAKA does not access, log in to, operate, or use your personal LinkedIn account.
Account, transaction, and consent information: The minimum details needed for the dedicated search email, community participation, service acceptance, subscription authorization, cancellations, receipts, and payment status. Payment-provider information is supplied in the secure payment flow before enrollment. This website does not process cards. We receive transaction information needed to administer the service, not card security codes through an inquiry form.
Website information: Device/browser details, IP address, requested pages, security logs, and cookie preferences necessary for the implemented website functions. Optional tracking is described in the Cookie Notice and controlled separately.
Recordings and transcripts: Only where the separate recording/transcription process is used and the necessary permissions are obtained. The notice for the session identifies the tool, purposes, access, and retention.
Public professional information: Information from a professional profile or other source you identify or that is relevant to a request you make. We do not treat public availability as unlimited permission to copy, enrich, or market with it.
3. Information we ask you not to provide
Do not send Social Security or national identification numbers, passport or permit scans, full financial-account details, personal-account passwords, medical records, patient data, or confidential clinical-trial or employer records through this website or community.
We may need a limited answer about eligibility to work in a target market or whether sponsorship is required. We do not normally need nationality, immigration documents, or detailed immigration history. Where sensitive data is genuinely necessary, we identify the purpose and apply the appropriate lawful safeguards before collecting it. We do not infer health, disability, ethnicity, or other sensitive traits from a name or resume.
You answer sensitive demographic, disability, veteran-status, background-check, and similar employer questions personally unless a specific lawful process allows otherwise. Do not add references' private details without permission.
4. How we use information
We use relevant information to assess fit and legal/service availability; email applicants about their application, including confirmation, the decision, and enrollment reminders if accepted; prepare and review your plan and materials; conduct authorized search work without accessing or operating your personal LinkedIn account; coordinate interviews, Friday group coaching, and written-offer review; communicate with you; process authorized billing and cancellation; maintain records; respond to rights requests; protect security; and meet legal obligations.
We may use limited, appropriately de-identified operational information to improve our procedures. Removing a name alone does not make a detailed career story anonymous. We do not publish client stories, identifiable documents, recordings, or employer outcomes without separate permission.
Marketing messages are separate from service communications. You can decline or unsubscribe from marketing without losing the paid service. Application messages may include confirmation, the decision, and enrollment reminders if accepted. You may ask support@boraka.co to stop enrollment reminder emails; necessary messages needed to complete or administer an application you continue to pursue may still be sent.
5. People and organizations receiving information
Authorized staff and contractors may access only what their duties require, subject to confidentiality and appropriate handling arrangements. Providers may support website hosting, secure file storage, email, scheduling, community delivery, payment processing, and approved AI-assisted drafting or transcription.
This website uses its hosting provider to deliver and protect pages. The optional Testimonial.to review wall is not contacted until a visitor chooses to load it; that provider then receives ordinary connection information such as IP address and browser details. Providers used for paid service delivery will be disclosed before relevant information is transferred. Deployment locations and any additional service providers remain subject to pre-enrollment review.
We share approved candidate materials and relevant answers with employers and job platforms only within the agreed search authorization. Those recipients may retain records under their own rules; we cannot promise to erase every copy from an independent employer's systems. We can identify relevant submissions and assist with routing requests.
Limited disclosure may also be necessary for professional advice, legal obligations, or a properly safeguarded business transaction. We do not use those categories as permission for unrelated marketing or indiscriminate disclosure.
6. AI assistance, recordings, and community privacy
AI tools may help organize information, draft text, or summarize an authorized session. Human review remains part of career planning and materials development. We do not use an automated score as the sole basis for a significant client-eligibility decision.
We limit identifiable client data to approved service accounts and tools and exclude unnecessary sensitive information. Provider settings, contractual protections, processing locations, and any permitted reuse are described in the provider disclosure. Accepting our service does not grant permission to publish your information or use it for an unrelated general-purpose training project. A tool's use of AI is not a promise of zero retention, absolute confidentiality, or universal exclusion from provider model training.
You may ask about the tools and raise a concern before information is processed. Recording and AI transcription are separately optional under the session consent process; declining them leads to a non-recorded session with manual notes. Meeting attendance or accepting the service is not consent to public use of your voice, image, or story.
Other group members may see your chosen display name and information you voluntarily post. Do not share private application records in group spaces. We require respectful handling but cannot guarantee another member will never misuse something you disclose.
7. Cookies, advertising, and sale or sharing
This service uses necessary website technology. Optional analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking must remain blocked unless the choice and other requirements described in the Cookie Notice are satisfied. The service does not authorize sale of candidate files or their use for unrelated advertising. Any site-level use of information that constitutes a sale or sharing under applicable privacy law requires the corresponding disclosure and controls before activation.
Cookie choices are separate from service enrollment. The optional review wall remains unloaded unless selected and may be hidden again on the page. See the Cookie Notice for current controls. Hiding it stops new loading on that page but does not itself delete provider cookies already set.
8. Retention and security
We retain information only for the service, legitimate recordkeeping, security, legal obligations, and the establishment or defense of claims. Different categories have different needs; ending billing is not a promise to delete every legal record immediately.
Website application information is kept while a request is under review and for reasonable follow-up, subject to applicable rights and legal recordkeeping needs. Active-service information is kept while needed to deliver the work and afterward where necessary for recordkeeping, claims, or legal obligations. Recordings are kept only for the separately explained optional purpose. Suppression records are retained as needed to honor opt-outs. Security logs, backups, financial, consent, and service records follow their operational or legal necessity. A legal hold is limited to relevant information and lifted when no longer necessary.
We use measures appropriate to the information and risks, such as restricted access, secure account configuration, and deletion procedures. No internet service is completely secure. We assess incidents and provide notifications required by applicable law. Do not rely on this notice as a statement that all data stays in the United States or that the service is certified to a particular security standard.
9. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or an explanation of relevant information by contacting support@boraka.co. Depending on applicable law, you may also have portability, restriction, objection, opt-out, appeal, and complaint rights. We explain any lawful exception or refusal and any available appeal process. We do not retaliate for exercising a protected right.
We verify requests proportionately and do not routinely demand a government identity document. We respond within the legal deadline that applies, notify you of any permitted extension, and allow an authorized agent where required.
You may withdraw optional consent prospectively. Withdrawal does not make past lawful processing unlawful. Where needed information is essential to a requested service, we explain the effect of not providing it rather than automatically broadening consent.
Marketing opt-out, cookie settings, subscription cancellation, and data deletion are distinct controls. If your request covers more than one, we coordinate the actions rather than require unnecessary duplicate requests. Deleting a community app alone does not cancel a separately billed service.
10. Cross-border processing and regional requirements
Authorized people and providers may process information outside your location. Exact deployment and provider locations must be confirmed before relevant paid-service processing begins. Where law requires a transfer safeguard, we identify and implement the applicable mechanism before transfer and explain how to obtain relevant information at support@boraka.co. We do not rely on a blanket 'you agree to international transfers' clause to replace legal safeguards.
Before offering the service in a market requiring additional disclosures, we provide the appropriate regional notice, including applicable lawful bases, representatives, rights, and complaint contacts. A generic global notice is not confirmation that paid job-search services are permitted in that market. No EU, UK, Canadian, or U.S. state enrollment eligibility is implied by your ability to visit the website.
11. Children and changes
This paid career service is intended for adults 18 or older. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children for enrollment. Contact us if a child has submitted information so we can address it appropriately.
We update this notice when practices change and identify the new effective date. For material changes, we provide appropriate notice and obtain new permission where required. A revised notice does not retroactively authorize a different use of information.
